Case Study - Nano Stands

In 2010, Aquapac was asked to design a simple stand to compliment the Fluval Nano aquarium. Please use the green arrow above to find out more about the process adopted.

1. INITIAL CONCEPTS

After viewing the aquarium, a number of concepts were produced. We looked at a number of designs and materials which we felt would compliment the tank. 3D cad models were produced and sent to the client, RC Hagen.

2. DETAILED DESIGN

A concept was chosen by the client, and more detailed design was carried out, in order to price out the product. Technical drawings were produced, and the necessary machines programmed. A bill of materials was then made up with all the required components. household furniture

3. PROTOTYPING

Prototypes were then produced, so that the customer could see a unit for approval, and also so we could check machining times in order to give the client a final quotation. Extra panels were also cut so that we could work out the best layout of the panels for packing. This allowed us to work out the required box size. office furniture

4. READY FOR PRODUCTION

Finally, the product is approved, and now finishing touches such as the box art work and assembly instruction leaflets can be done. The product is then put onto our system, and materials are ordered, ready for production. contracted furniture manufacturers
